Economic Impact Payments for Non-Filers
Many Americans are counting on an Economic Impact Payment (also known as a stimulus payment) to provide some financial relief from the strain of COVID-19. Most people will receive this payment automatically and no action will be required. However, that’s not the case for everyone.
If you did not file 2018 or 2019 federal income taxes, and do not receive Social Security retirement benefits, Social Security Disability Insurance benefits or Railroad Retirement and Survivor benefits, you may be required to provide your information to the IRS.
Learn more about your eligibility, account requirements and access the Non-Filer Payment Info Form.
Currently, it is not clear exactly when these payments will be dispersed, though we anticipate the process will begin mid-April. Anyone who needs to submit the Non-Filer Payment Info Form is encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
